Jail Command
Mission
The mission of the Daviess County Security Center is to provide secure incarceration for those that are detained in protective custody. The jail shall further strive to provide an atmosphere, which is safe where the rights of inmates are protected, as well as to promote the humane care of inmates. It is the goal of the Daviess County jail to establish an environment of respect and dignity toward prisoners and to strive for staff sensitivity toward persons under their care.
Facility & Location
The current jail has 260 beds, 6 holding cells, 2 drunk tanks, and a padded cell. The work release center houses an additional 52 beds.
