Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic

The Daviess County Health Department offers FREE, CONFIDENTIAL testing for Tuberculosis, the only program of its kind in Daviess County.

We offer our services to residents both inside and outside of Daviess County.

Services we provide

  • The TB Clinic will see those with or without insurance.
  • Our Medical Provider will assess and evaluate both Latent and Active TB clients. 
  • Our Medical Provider will see the TB Patient monthly or as needed at no cost. 
  • QuantiFERON Gold, TB testing, and sputum collection,  if needed, will be collected at the Daviess County Health Department.
  • Our Medical Provider will report physical findings and report back to the patient's provider or local health department. 
  • Our Medical Provider will write prescriptions for TB treatment. 
  • Appointments must be scheduled through the Daviess County Health Department Nurse. 
  • Interpretation services are available for Spanish and Haitian Creole.

Services we do not provide (For Referring Medical Providers)

  • No Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) will be provided to out-of-county residents.
  • The TB clinic is not responsible for the administration of any TB medications to out-of-county residents.
  • The TB clinic is not responsible for reporting to the Indiana State Department of Health. All labs, testing, and physical assessments will be sent to the referring provider and/or county health department.
  • Documentation will NOT be entered into NBS for the TB clinic visits. (Documentation will be sent to the referring provider via email or mail.)
  • Our Medical Provider will NOT communicate with the Indiana State Department of Health or Regional TB Coordinator unless requested by ISDH or Regional TB Coordinator.
